Activities of the Advisory Board

  • Observes the institutional work and provides assistance to elaborate its plans.
  • To the request of the Council of Research Unit Executives of the HAS, evaluates every year the report of the Institute and in every three years makes a detailed analysis of the work of the Institution, furthermore evaluates the developement plan of the Institute.
  • Organises a meeting at least once a year (other sessions can be organised with IT support and decesion can be made via emails).
  • Organises an external session in the Institute at least once during its three years assignment.
  • More than half of the advisory board need to vote unanimously to make a decision.
  • Establishes its own procedures and is entitled to request all necessary from a specific institute for evaluation, to form a position, or to declare its opinion.
  • The external advisory board may not include as a member anyone who, as a public servant or through a working contract, is currently on the institute payroll.
  • Foreign members receive an allowance for participating in sessions on their visits to Hungary. The costs of the activities of the external advisory board are borne by the institute.
